The planet where we live is called Earth. It is made up of air , water, and land. A very large area of land is called a continent. North America is a continent where most people speak English.
On Earth, there is more water than land. An ocean is a large body of salt water. If the Earth is so big, how can we find new places? A compass rose, globe, and map are things we can use to discover places on the Earth.
We can use a globe to plan our trip. Then we should use a compass rose and map to find our direction. Take a look at a globe, try and plan a trip to a fun new continent.
